The Wine Maker, Rob's Sanctuary (Jordan Winery, Healdsburg, CA)

One afternoon while I was alone painting in the Alexander Valley, a bicyclist stopped and chatted. He first had commented on the area being the most beautiful area that he had ever been compared to the many beautiful places he had visited in his professional travels. Next he invited me to paint at a Healdsburg winery on the south end of the Alexander Valley where he worked, so as he humbly gave me his business card he remarked how they had some of the best views at the winery and to give him a call. While I was excited for the invite, and did not have the time to read the card until later. The gentleman, Rob, was Jordan Winery's well known winemaker, and when I later met up with him, he graciously gave me the amazing tour of the winery's property. This was one of the first paintings I chose to do because it was Rob's sanctuary where he would camp and rest during harvest. It was where Rob found sanctuary. I hope you can enjoy some sanctuary in viewing this artwork as well.

This painting is painted on a gallery wrap canvas, so it is unframed and painted around the edges.
